The 2018 Eileen Fennell Graduate Student Teaching Award for Excellence in Teaching was presented to Danielle Cooke. Danielle has taught eight different classes, with over 1,000 students over the past three years. She has also guest lectured for courses on Eating Disorders and Anxiety Spectrum Disorders.
Danielle’s created an “early warning system” to let her know when a student is struggling prior to academic failure. The system uses an only metrics of time spent on material, log-ins, and page views. If the student is having difficulties it will allow Danielle to help connect them with the right resources and work with them to improve their performance.
